I really enjoyed my stay at the London Lodge. I accidentally booked my stay for the next night the day I flew out yikes but they were very accommodating and found me a room right away.
While I waited for my last-minute room to be cleaned they offered me tea and biscuits. I made conversation with the lovely front desk man and read some magazines in a beautiful lobby. The furniture is very old English which I find to be quite charming. However, the bathroom was quite modern and perfect for contouring my face before going out great lighting.
The shower was amazing too. Stephanie's cafe-restaurant was delicious. Also of course I hit the well-stocked mini bar hard. There was even a cold wine glass waiting for me in the fridge.
Also as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe in my room and in the neighborhood. Overall, I had a very pleasant one-night stay at the London Lodge! Highly recommend! Great Location. A mixed review here unfortunately, so i will start with the positives - Firstly, Great Location, i cannot fault it, it is nice, clean and quiet affluent area. The hotel is also nice, and the manager Mandy is a lovely lady who is always on hand to help with anything. When i checked in i requested some more milk sachets to go with my coffee, to which she duly obliged.
The room was small and not like what was advertised on the Agoda website - it also advertised the hotel as having breakfast - again this is not the case as since Covid the hotel has stopped serving breakfast. I knew this prior to my stay as i called the hotel and spoke to Mandy regarding this and the room. Talking of the room, it did get cold at night, the wall heater and radiator were not working, so that was disappointing as the room was cold. The shower was of no use as when i stood in it, the shower head touched the top of my head, i am only 5 feet 8 inches in height!!!!
So because of this i was restricted to having baths. The wash basin had no plug in it either see photo , why i dont know. There is a sign in the room stating that the towels will get changed see photo , however i was at the hotel for 3 nights, an they never got changed once. In fact, for the whole of my stay, Friday until Monday, my room never got cleaned as my rubbish bin just piled up more each day with rubbish see photo. I would stay here again, as for me the location is what makes it, i just hope that when i do go back that those finer points have been tweaked.

Back in August, our hotel heating system was turned off and we normally tune it on in October, due to the structure arrangements of this Victoria House, some part of the area is cooler than the others.
However, we could have provided you with in room heater if we know that you were cold. Not sure if you informed any of our staff. Due to Covid19 our restaurant is not open we are constantly reviewing the possibilities. We take extremely care for our cleaning staff, as you may remember we requested you to fill in the Covid survey. All guests entered from overseas, we will not enter their rooms until they informed us their day 2 test is negative.
In this way, not only we protected our staff, so as other guests in the hotel, during the time. However, we asked each guest to let us know if they would like to replace their towels and take away rubbish. In your case there maybe a mix up as you were from UK.
It does look like we didn't enter your room. If we know about this your stay, we could have changed this. We apologise for this. Right now, most people are vaccinated and unless we have a good reason not to, we carry out normal cleaning routine. We really hope to welcome you back to the hotel, please do remind me with your height as we have some rooms maybe more suitable for you.

Dear tse, Not all the rooms are equipped with the safe facility inside of the room but we also have the safe box at reception which are individually for guests.
